We made it was a project directed by my client Harlem as a gift to his niece and nephew, a lyric video to go with an encouraging song he produced to inspire them. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to work on such a wholesome production that could be both fun and educational.

The brief involved representing 39 different influential black creators and inventors, with visual reference to cut-out styles of animation. I had a lot of creative freedom with the visuals, but also a lot of my client’s own ideas to follow through with, such as for the intro, credits and who was to be featured in the film. I approached the design in a way which would be pleasing to both child and adult audiences, with bright palettes and a fast pace that matched the up-beat tempo of the song.
